Wisam is 25 years old Iraqi refugee in Syria with a diagnosis of bilateral Keratoconus leading to distortion of vision, multiple visions, and sensitivity to light. One eye was already repaired through the help of several local and international charities. He is now in need of repair for the second eye.

The patient was referred by AAS-Syria to the Medical Relief Project of the Assyrian Medical Society, which approved sharing the cost with other organizations for the care of his second eye (22,000 SL). He underwent a successful intrastromal corneal ring segment implantation. He is reported to be in good condition.
