Devon Loqa
Ages: 17
Diagnosis: Multiple Amputations
Place of origin: Iraq
Story:
Devon is a 17 years old male who was the victim of a rocket explosion in Iraq. He sustained multiple injuries that led to bilateral below knee amputations and right below elbow amputation. Due to lack of resources and expertise in Iraq, he was brought to the United States of America for re-do surgeries to condition his limbs for proper prosthetics to be followed by rehabilitation.
He is currently under treatment at the Shriners Hospital of LA that had accepted his treatment on charity basis. The Medical
Relief Project (MRP) had covered all the expenses of travel, lodging, daily needs until the treatment is completed and he is ready to travel back to Iraq.
We would like to express our gratitude to AAS-A, The Shriners Hospital of LA and its staff for their generosity and care. |
