Story:

Sandra Butrus Zaia is an 18 years old female who accidentally fell down from a 4th story building in Damascus, Syria. She was rushed to the hospital in coma where her work up revealed the presence of multiple trauma to include closed head injury, nasal fractures, pelvic fractures, bilateral leg fractures, and left foot factures in addition to generalized bruises and abrasions.

She is currently recovering however she needs multiple surgeries for her fractures. The medical Relief Project of the Assyrian Medical Society has been called upon to help out due to the financial hardship this patients lives being an Iraqi refugee in Syria. So far, (75, 000, 00 SL= $1600) has been paid to the hospital towards her care.

The patient is now out of coma and has been subjected to open reduction and internal fixation of the left leg fractures (ORIF). She is recuperating from this while waiting for her second surgery of the broken pelvis. Will keep you updated.
