Yousif Petros Khoshaba

Age: 8
Diagnosis: Walking Difficulties
Place of origin: Iraq
Story:

Yousif Petros Khoshaba is 8 years old child from Iraq who has been having trouble walking due to congenital abnormality with his right foot. The patient underwent corrective surgery in Iraq in 2003 but due to war, he failed to follow through with physical therapy, hence failure of the operation.

The Medical Relief Project (MRP) was able to secure a treating facility, the Shriners Hospital of Los Angeles, where a successful tendon release surgery was performed by Dr. Otsuka on August 20, 2008. Yousif had completed his physical therapy and had returned home since.

We would like to express our gratitude to AAS-A, The Shriners Hospital of LA and its staff for their generosity and care.
