Story:
Zaia is 51 years old Iraqi refugee in Syria who was admitted to St Louis Hospital in Damascus with right limb ischemia and renal insufficiency. After angiography, an attempt was made for angioplasty to no avail. He required right below knee amputation.
The patient was referred by AAS-S. The Medical Relief Project of the Assyrian Medical Society had approved 50% of the total cost of care (33,750 SL). He is currently recovering from his surgery
